Andrea Cremer - Nightshade

Calla Tor has always known her role: as soon as she graduates from the Mountain School, she will become the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the keepers. However, Calla is steered away from her destiny--and the unassailable laws of her masters--when she rescues a beautiful human, Shay. Calla is suddenly torn between her previously unquestioned fate and her natural attraction to Ren, and her growing desire to know more about the mysterious Shay. Following that desire is dangerous, however--and Calla might lose everything she holds dear. Even her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

Being a teen I absolutely loved this book. Romance wise, it possesses the classic forbidden love as well as the confusion of which boy to choose, making some readers choose Team Shay while others choose Team Ren. The story itself is unlike any other; different to the classic werewolf or vampire tales, you won’t find this read easy to put down or hard to understand. You’ll find yourself smiling through Calla’s story, especially when she is being fought over ;). Nightshade doesn't just involve werewolves though it adds ‘Keepers’ and ‘Seekers’ to the mix (if you don’t understand what they are just think wizards and warlocks minus the hocus pocus) as well as a few scenes with Incubi and Succubi, definitely something you shouldn’t miss. Andrea did a fantastic job on it and I hope she can create many books from this series.

I hope you guys really give this book a chance, you WON’T regret it!

This book gets a rating of 8 on the SophaScale.

The Otherworld YA Reviews

Hi, my name is Sophie and I'm in love with my book collection!
I read all the YA novels i can find and right now my bookshelf is overloaded.
I created this blog so i can share my favourite reads with other YA readers as well as get their opinions on the books as well.
I also have my very own book rating scale from 1-10 called the SophaScale (yes lame, but it does it for me :))
1. Didn't Bother To Finish
2. Only Finished Because I Forced Myself
3. Only Kept Reading For A Particular Reason
4. Wish It Could Have Been Better
5. Iffy But Generally Okay
6. Some Part Don't Make Sense Or Piss Me Off
7. Hmm...I Wonder If This Has A Sequel...
8. WHAT A BOOK!
9. *Searches everywhere to find another book this good*
10. *Stalks Author Online And Demands There Be More!* (yes i actually did that...twice... :P )
Note: I generally blog about really good books i have read, not so much bad ones unless they REALLY annoy me; but from now on i will try to blog everything i read. Books that score a 10 are usually the ones that tend to get a lot of emotion from the reader eg. tears, laughter etc. but also have awesome unique moments and a good plot. It's easy to tell when you've just read a '10' book because you'll be thinking about it for days...trust me.

Everyone has their different preferences when it comes to books so don't be afraid to speak up i would love to hear your opinion on the story or your suggestions on books.

I have no problems whatsoever in
receiving books through mail to review although beware, i live in the Great Southern Land named Australia.
for more information or if you just want to talk books, comment or email me at billiejoeidiotday@hotmail.com

Sophie :)
