My Soul To Take - Rachel Vincent

Once again i have lagged at posting my reviews, i apologise but what can i say..i get distracted. Anyways...
"High school junior Kaylee Cavanaugh is trying to balance her normal life with a newly discovered, terrifying ability to make life-and-death decisions—literally. Kaylee is a banshee, complete with an uncontrollable scream that rips from her when someone near her is about to die. And the more people she saves, the harder it becomes to guard her own soul from things that go bump in the Netherworld.

My Soul to Take: A banshee scream bursts from her throat, and someone dies. Kaylee Cavanaugh doesn't know why she is compelled to scream—she knows only that she can’t stop it. And now, just as she's started dating the hottest guy in school, classmates are dying—and Kaylee keeps screaming..."

So i have read Rachel Vincent's entire Fayth Sanders series and was completely in love and didnt know what to do when the series stopped so i thought I'd check out her teen series. Of course i was a bit worried when it came to the whole "she knows when people will die" thing but i thought what the hell with an awesome author this book HAS to be decent... and i was right to make that assumption because this book was very different to most teen reads but not too different that you just cant stand it...if that makes sense. Kaylee seems to be an unique character herself definitely not familiar to any Bella or Rose character (don't get me wrong though I'm sure twilight/vampire academy-team VA FTW-fans would love it, i know i did). The book isn't predictable which is a hard quality to find in a book these days, and i found the only common element was the boy factor although even that was different in a sexy way ;)
I hope i
havn't confused anyone with my rambling, this book gets an 7 on the SophaScale.
